Our society makes it incredibly easy to lose sight of what truly matters. Getting caught up in the ‘white noise’ is seemingly nearly inevitable. What’s in, what’s out, who said what, who’s with who…This shallow, surface-level mentality has become normality, and even encouraged. It’s truly a shame to see so many people go through life with so much wasted, unmet potential.

I want to remind you all of the power you each possess. You are absolutely brilliant, and have the power to make an incredible impact. Whether it be on the world, yourself, or someone else, you can make a difference. Take a moment to think deeply. What are you passionate about? What interests you? What are your goals?

Embrace your mistakes. Trial and error is all part of learning, growing, and succeeding. I’ve come to that realization recently. For the longest time, I felt stuck, incapable, and terrified of doing something wrong.

I was in a lesson a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn’t get my position right for a movement. My trainer said something to the effect of, “You get so scared of doing something wrong, that you stop trying all together. You need to embrace your mistakes, as they’re an indication that you’re trying. Accept your mistakes, appreciate what you learn from them, and keep going. With that mentality, success is inevitable.”

While she was referencing the way I was riding, it really hit home with me in all areas of my life. I had been confining myself within my comfort zone out of fear of doing something wrong. In that moment, I swore I would start pushing myself. I would accept, appreciate, and learn from my mistakes. I would keep trying until I got it right.

I want you all to run wild in your efforts to live life to the fullest, being true, and in touch with, yourself. Create insane goals, and make no apologies for doing everything in your power to pursue them. Regardless of what anyone else says or does, always be your own biggest advocate by knowing that you are capable, worthy, and determined.

“If you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will be failing above everyone else’s success.” -James Cameron

Don’t lose sight of what matters to you. Tune out the white noise that is amplified in our society. You will go so much farther if you allow the pressure slip away. Let go of those irrelevant expectations, and live for yourself. Don’t compare yourself to others. Be your own person, and make yourself proud. Go as far as you possibly can towards what matters most, and don’t look back. I know it’s hard to believe, but you are truly capable of anything you truly set your mind to. I believe that wholeheartedly.

I love you guys so much. Thank you for reading!

XOXO,
